This week features Denver-based band Pink Fuzz. I have watched Lu Lu, John & Forrest build their presence over the past few years (and the band name, although it’s changed a few times!) and it’s clear they have emerged as a vital rock force in Colorado.

Read below for excerpts of my chat with the band during the shoot:

K: What have you guys been up to the last few months?

PF: Staying busy writing, recording, demoing, screen printing, redesigning our website and making new in studio live videos to release as “shows” very soon!

K: What are some of the challenges and positives your band has experienced during the pandemic? Any silver linings? How have you adapted?

PF: It’s definitely been challenging. More so at the beginning because we were on strict quarantine with no band practice at all. When we finally could practice it felt great. Right before the pandemic hit we had some really cool tours & festivals lined up. Luckily they’ve all been postponed. It’s been nice having a break to write a whole new batch of material and we are lucky we can go in and record. I feel like we’ve adapted pretty well. We are a do it yourself band and make all our own merch, videos, and content so besides playing live which we miss dearly nothing has changed too much. Still working hard and staying busy.

K: Please list any upcoming events, etc (new record, shows?)

PF: We just went into Silo Sound Recording studio and laid down 11 live filmed songs and 2 brand spanking new singles. We are really pumped about those and will be releasing them super soon. We also are doing a livestream next week Thursday August 13th at The Armory, Denver. They are doing some really cool livestreams. Full lights and amazing live sound in this massive warehouse. We are so stoked to be a part of it!
